Wood mouse in the garden

I left the trailer camera out over night down the bottom of the garden next to the shed and filmed a wood mouse.
(Forgot to change the time on the camera)

First go with time lapse camera

This was my first go at using my new time lapse camera.

The sun set wasn't very exciting, but it was a chance at getting to know what time gaps and how many frames per second to use.

Rescuing a squirrel

While we were out walking the dogs, we came across squirrel struggling under a holly bush.
We took the dogs home and came back with a rabbit carrier.
My Dad used a blanket to catch it.

It looked like the sqiurrel had a broken front paw. Its two back paws were covered with grazes, this might have been were he was trying to climb a tree with a broken paw.

Getting in the car
We put a blanket over him so he was not scared.

House sparrows

These are some House Sparrows at my Nan's.
She lives the other end of the village where there seems to be more sparrow than at our house.

Our little stream flooded

This is the main stream that runs through the wood. In the summer it only has about 30 centimeters of water in it. After the last few days of rain it is over the bridge and over 1 metre deep.

This is the side stream that runs into it, during the summer this is dry.

Tree creeper

We watched 2 tree creepers for about 20 minutes in a patch of Hawthorn bushes.
They would start at the bottom of the tree, work their way up the trunk to the top then move to the bottom of the next tree and start again.

Starlings

We don't normally get many starlings around us, but this year there are a lot.
They gather on the pylons in the afternoon.
