Dragonfly

I saw this dragonfly, on Saturday, sitting on a gate next to the fly fishing lake, at Millets farm.

I've looked it up in a book but not sure whether it is a Common Darter or a Ruddy Darter.

Around Appleton - Lock Lane

As we walked down Lock Lane this morning there was still mist in the air.

The lane is 1/2 a mile long and leads from the village down to the lock.
Think this is a reed bunting

There were lots of birds along the edges of the lane.

Goldfinches

Yellow Hammer

By the time we walked back up the lane the mist had cleared.
