On our second day in Wales we decided to go on a boat trip around Ramsey Island, with Thousand Islands expeditions.
Whilst waiting for the boat to arrive we did a spot of rock pooling.
There was plenty to see while waiting including this kestrel hovering.
The boat trip around the Island lasted 1.5 hours and we got chance to go through the currents in Ramsey Sound and go in and out of the caves and bays.
The guide told us lots of interesting stories about the wildlife and the history of the Island.

There were quite a few seals and seal pups on the rocks and in the bays.
Once we landed on the Island we were greeted by Amy, who told us more about the Island and what wildlife we might see.
My sister and I were given spotting sheets to fill in.
We had around 4 hours to look around at our own pace.
The Island is very beautiful especially as the sun was out.

The boat reversed into this cave but stopped just before we got soaked by the curtain of water falling from the roof of the cave.

There are 5 horses roaming around Ramsey |
We also managed to spot the herd of Red deer, which seemed quite spooked by the horses running up and down.
There was time for a hot chocolate and a chat with the wardens while we were waiting for the boat back to the mainland.
